Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Tim Parkin said Monday morning that deputies responded to the crash shortly before 7:30 p.m. It happened in the area of the intersection of 14th St. and 67th Ave. Northwest in Kalamar Township.

The initial crash investigation indicates the ATV was operating in the ditches in the area at a high rate of speed. The operator was thrown from the vehicle after it drove up an embankment and became airborne.
