Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News) - A detour has been established for northbound traffic on I-35 between Owatonna and Faribault due to a fatal crash.

Very little information about the multi-vehicle crash has been released, but the State Patrol has confirmed that at least one person was killed in the incident earlier this afternoon. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is indicating the crash occurred about 3 miles north of Medford near the site of a crash last week involving a half dozen vehicles and resulted in multiple injuries.

The detour is routing traffic off the interstate at Medford and sending it west and north on Rice County Roads before it is sent back to I-35 in Faribault on Highway 60.
