Kasson Truck Driver Injured in Crash on Icy Minnesota Freeway

Worthington, MN (KROC-AM News) - An early-morning crash on an icy freeway sent a truck driver from Kasson to the hospital.

The State Patrol says the incident occurred on I-90 in Jackson County around 5:40 AM. 49-year-old Christopher Flanery was behind the wheel of a semi-truck and was traveling east on I-90 when he lost control and crashed into the median about 10 miles east of Worthington.

The State Patrol says Flanery was transported to the hospital in Worthington where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The crash report notes that he was wearing a seatbelt and the roadway was covered by snow and ice at the time.
