Minneapolis Man Gets 16 Years for Rochester Pot Robbery
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minneapolis man who was involved in a violent robbery in Rochester last year was sentenced to 16 years in prison Thursday.
An Olmsted County jury convicted 33-year-old Dion Abrams in March for his role in the incident that happened last July at a residence located near Gage School.
Abrams,his two brothers, and a fourth man were accused of plotting to take marijuana from the homeowner, who had been growing pot in his residence. One of the men shot the homeowner in one of his knees during the robbery and then left with two jars of marijuana.
Abrams’ brothers were sentenced to prison earlier this year.
The case against the fourth man who has been identified as the shooter is pending.
