Byron, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcycle crash in Olmsted County sent a Dodge Center man to the hospital Saturday afternoon.

The State Patrol responded to the crash along Hwy. 14 between Rochester and Byron. It was reported shortly after 4 p.m.

The state crash report indicates the motorcycle was traveling west when it left the road and struck the cable median. The operator, identified as 23-year-old Dakota James Swanson, was taken from the crash scene to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Swanson was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved, the report says. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Byron Fire Department, Byron EMS and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the motorcycle crash.
