Rochester Woman Sentenced for Armed Robberies
A Rochester woman has been sentenced to a year in jail for her involvement in two convenience store holdups last summer. 22-year-old Alycia Courson earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery. She was accused of serving as the driver for 20-year-old Kevon Johnson while he robbed the Holiday station near St. Mary’s Hospital and the Greenway Co-op on 3rd avenue southeast, In addition to the jail time, Courson was also given a nearly 5 year stayed prison sentence and was placed on probation for 20 years. Johnson pleaded guilty to the same charges last month and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 31st.
