14-Year-Old Suspected of DWI After Rochester House Crash
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police and the Rochester Fire Department responded to a southwest Rochester residence early this morning after a vehicle crashed into a house.
Teen Driver Crashes Into Rochester Home
Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says the vehicle was driven by a 14-year-old girl who was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
Teen Suspected of DWI
A statement issued by the Fire Department says the incident was reported shortly after 4 a.m. in the 1200 block of Folwell Drive Southwest. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle had crashed through the front wall of a two-story house.
Firefighters Stabilize Damaged Home
Fire Department crews installed struts in multiple locations to provide structural support to the home while allowing for the safe removal of the vehicle. A news release says there was significant damage to load-bearing and non-load-bearing components of the house.
No Residents Injured in Early Morning Crash
None of the occupants of the home were injured. The Fire Department reported that one individual associated with the vehicle was evaluated by a Mayo Clinic Ambulance crew and transported for treatment. Information about the severity of that person's injuries has not been released.
