The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for southern Minnesota, in effect from midnight tonight through 9 pm Saturday night.

Wind chill values as low as -35 are expected. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

The coldest wind chills will occur Sunday and Monday mornings.

Additionally, a Wind Chill Watch has been issued for southern Minnesota, in effect from 9 pm Saturday night through 9 am Tuesday morning for wind chill values that could approach -40.

A blast of arctic air will lead to several days of temperatures below zero. Dress in layers and cover exposed skin when going outdoors.
