BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (AP) — Officials say a man has died in a house fire in Brooklyn Park.

Firefighters say flames were shooting out of the home when they arrived about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Deputy Fire Chief Todd Seitz tells KSTP-TV assistance from several other departments was needed to fight the fire. Neighbor Robin Brisse says she could feel the heat inside her house and ran to call 911.

Authorities say the victim lived alone in the house.
