
Flu Deaths Hit 50 in Minnesota as Cases & Hospitalizations Spike
Cases of influenza have been spiking across Minnesota at record rates since the holidays, crowding hospitals and clinics.
The seasonal quad-demic, consisting of Influenza, COVID, RSV, and norovirus is keeping Minnesota hospitals busy.
In the latest weekly report from the Minnesota Department of Health ending January 11th, fifty adults have died of the flu in Minnesota so far this season. Pediatric flu deaths remain at zero. Most of the deaths this season in Minnesota have been among the elderly.

The good news is that the resent skyrocketing of cases, thing have taken a bit of a dip over the past week.

According to the Mayo Clinic, if you think you have the flu and you or someone you're caring for is at high risk of serious flu illness, or flu-related complications. They also add that, regardless of risk-level, you should get care right away for any symptom that worries you.
