Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  The 2015 Red Kettle drive by the Rochester Salvation Army is down to its final day.

The 36 kettles have been out since November 13th in Rochester, Byron, Chatfield and Stewartville. This year’s overall goal for the Christmas campaign is  $1.075 million. The total from last year was $1.2 million, which set a record.

A $12,000 matching grant is being offered on this final day in hopes of reaching the goal before the kettles are collected at 5 p.m.

Volunteers are busy getting ready for the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Day dinner. It will be served tomorrow (Friday) after an 11:30 a.m. service at the Salvation Army’s Worship and Service Center at 20 NE First Ave.  All are invited.
