Oak Summit Golf Course in Rochester has kicked off its 2021 golfing season today. The golf course sent out an email on Monday afternoon saying that the course would open on Tuesday and they would be taking tee times. Carts are available and the driving range is open, too.

They also posted on their Facebook Page that they were ready for business.

Of course, there are still going to be wet spots on the course, but they are ready to go and you can bet those itching to enjoy this beautiful weather will be out there playing.

Rochester City Courses don't typically open until April, but if you know of any other golf courses in the area that plan to open up shortly, let us know on our station's app. It is still early March so if that snowstorm we always seem to get does come along, it might force them to close for a few days, but they'll be back!

Still, it's 60 degrees today, there is a lot of sunshine, and I don't care how windy it is, it sounds like a good day to play some golf. Also, temperatures are expected to work their way back into the 30s next week, so the golfing weather might not last long. But hey, suns out, clubs out!

Now excuse me as I try to figure out a way to tell my boss that I have to leave early for my tee time.....I mean my dentist appointment that I have had scheduled for at least the last six months.
