McKichan says Austin police are also looking for two men that investigators believe were in the SUV when the drive-by shooting occurred around 10:40 PM. He says 28-year-old Chan Oman is believed to have been driving the vehicle, while 23-year-old Manamany Abella was his passenger.

Both men are from Austin and are considered armed and dangerous. Austin police warn they should not be approached if spotted. Anyone with information about their whereabouts or the location of the vehicle is asked to call 911 or call the Austin Police Department at 507-437-9400.

A news release issued by the police chief says a 911 caller reported that a car had crashed into an unoccupied home at 701 4th Street North in Austin. The responding officers found a deceased male and two injured passengers in the vehicle.

Investigators later learned there were five people in the vehicle when the Dodge Durango approached and an occupant of the larger vehicle opened fire. The car then continued rolling for about two blocks before striking the house.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiners Office is conducting an autopsy and Chief McKichan says his name will be released after his family is notified of his death.

Two of the passengers in the vehicle fled from the scene and police are working to locate them. The two other passengers were also shot and were initially transported to the Mayo Clinic Health Systems hospital in Austin. The news release says a female victim was airlifted to Rochester for treatment at St. Marys Hospital, while a male victim was transported to Rochester by ambulance. As of Saturday afternoon, they were listed in serious but stable condition.
