BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota State University women's basketball team is heading south for the semifinals of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.

The Jackrabbits, who eliminated the Gophers last week, found out their opponent when the University of Texas at El Paso downed Washington 70-63 in a quarterfinal matchup on Monday night. SDSU will play at UTEP on Wednesday night for the right to advance to the WNIT title game.

The other semifinal matchup is Rutgers vs. South Florida. The championship game is Saturday afternoon.
