Daunte Wright's family members joined with community leaders Thursday in calling for more serious charges against a white police officer in Wright's death
A Minnesota prosecutor says he will charge a white former suburban Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot 20-year-old Daunte Wright during a traffic stop.
The scene was the same as the previous night outside the Brooklyn Center police station, where security fences and other barricades have been in place since Monday in the aftermath of the shooting of Daunte Wright.
The BCA - now in charge of the investigation - identified the officer as
Kim Potter, who has been with the Brooklyn Center Police Department for 26 years.
