MnDOT says the last of the construction barrels were removed today.

MnDOT says flaggers will be controlling the flow of traffic Wednesday through Friday.

The single-vehicle crash was reported around 4:45 PM.

The collision was on the western edge of Byron.

It occurred near St. Charles High School.

The State Patrol report says alcohol was detected in the wrong-way driver blamed for the collision on Highway 14.

A winter weather advisory is now in effect until 6 PM Saturday and driving conditions could worsen tonight.

Olmsted County previously received more than $20 million to prepare for construction.

The project began in September.

A median closure is planned for Friday morning.

Crews are hopeful to have the project finished by the end of the month.

Work is slated to start in 2024.

It's part of a larger effort meant to improve safety along Hwy. 14 west of Rochester.
