A southeastern shift in the track of the winter storm affecting the region today has significantly lessened the amount of snow expected in the Rochester area, but road conditions remain dicey.

The light snow that fell across SE Minnesota overnight has left roads, sidewalks, parking lots and other surfaces slippery for motorists and pedestrians.

Many area roads became slick Monday night due to the rain/snow that fell and the sudden drop in temperatures.
