Rochester sales tax

The Rochester City Council is scheduled to meet in a special session on Monday to vote on overriding the mayor's veto.

The plan also calls for additional funding to be allocated to restore some amenities deducted from the construction contract due to budget constraints.

The price tags of the three properties range from about $2.7 million to more than $6.3 million.

The proposal would help spur the construction of about 200 new single-family homes priced at between $368,000 and $479,000.
