The phasing out of clean energy tax credits is listed as one of the key factors for the dramatic increase in the cost of reaching Rochester's 2030 clean energy target.

The replacement project will begin next year and is expected to take 3 years to complete.

The city-owned utility is in the process of contacting affected property owners.

The utility says it has been receiving reports from customers receiving calls from people claiming to be with RPU.

RPU hopes to complete the project by the end of 2028.

Rochester Public Utilities and the Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency are among the 10 power providers partnering for the massive project.

They are expected to arrive in the Orlando area ahead of Hurricane Milton.

It's part of a three-year project that has already torn up portions of two other Rochester Parks.

No timeline has been given for power restoration.
