I was on 2nd Street SW. At the stoplights, just before the bridge. And that's when it happened. While people were freaking out, I grabbed my camera as fast as I could...

Sadly, I was too slow with my camera to catch the tire weave it's escape path across the bridge, but I was able to catch the aftermath. And in slow mo, too! Two brave men ran across the bridge, confronted the tire, and laid waste to it's dreams of freedom.

They must have been professional tire handlers, used to calming and bringing home the tires after an attempt at freedom. I say this because, as you can see in the screen shot, the tire (marked) is docile, allowing it self to be led, maybe even reconciled to its fate.

And as the tire was placed in a truck, I swear heard the tire shout, "You may take us tires, but you will never take...our freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom!"
