A fast-moving winter system is expected to make Tuesday afternoon and evening travel hazardous across southeastern Minnesota. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southeastern Minnesota, including the Rochester area, with forecasters warning of rain, freezing rain, and brief bursts of snow as a strong cold front moves in.

While heavier snow is forecasted north of I-94, motorists in southeast Minnesota may still encounter slick roads and light accumulations, prompting many school districts to adjust their schedules.
