Officials say the structure was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived. Firefighters got the fire under control after fighting it for several hours.

Crews had to contend with the large fire with a limited water supply due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area, the news release says. No injuries were reported.

Efforts to contact the property owners were not successful. Fire crews also cleared vehicles near the blaze. The house was deemed a total loss and the damage estimate ranges between $25,000 and $30,000.

The Rochester Fire Department says the fire is not believed to be suspicious, however the State Fire Marshall will investigate the scene Friday. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Olmsted County Public Works and the Stewartville Fire Department also responded to the blaze.
