Authorities ID Victim of Fatal Mankato Shooting
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in Mankato have identified the victim of a recent fatal shooting.
The Mankato Public Safety Department says officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots in the 300 block of Balcerzak Drive near All Seasons Arena just before 12:20 AM Saturday and found a man in the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
On Saturday evening officials identified the shooting victim as 27-year-old Buay Duer Juk of Mankato. A news release says the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled his death a homicide.
A witness, who reported seeing someone flee the shooting scene described the potential suspect as being about 6 foot 2, 160 pounds, and wearing dark clothing with the hood up. So far no arrest has been reported.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation. Anyone who has information about this homicide is asked to call 911 or 507-387-8725.
