Fatal Crash Reported on Rural Highway in Southern Minnesota

Howard Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded this morning to a fatal traffic crash in southern Minnesota.
The deadly collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. and involved a car and a box truck that were both traveling east on Highway 12 near Howard Lake in Wright County. The driver of the car, 46-year-old Toby Birr of Dassel, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, 30-year-old Alexander Rosenberger of St. Cloud, was not injured. The crash report indicates the roadway was dry and both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
