Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A two-vehicle crash on a highway in Olmsted County sent a Plainview man to the hospital Friday.

The State Patrol responded to the crash around 1:45 p.m. It happened at the intersection of Hwy. 247 and County Rd. 128, which is about eight miles east of Oronoco. 

The state crash report indicates a pick-up truck and sedan were traveling east when the two vehicles collided. The sedan driver has been identified as 38-year-old Edward Clayton Hainer.

He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 43-year-old Caleb John Klassen of Wabasha was driving the pick-up. He was not hurt.

Both of the drivers were buckled up and alcohol was not a factor in the crash on the dry highway, the report says. 

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Elgin Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the two-vehicle collision.
