Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Tim Parkin said deputies were dispatched to an accident with injuries around 10 p.m. Sunday. The crash happened at the Oronoco Fire Station at 199 North Minnesota Ave.

Parkin said witnesses were following the driver, identified as 37-year-old Tiffany Schneider, home from a lake Sunday and saw her vehicle enter the ditch several times as it traveled towards Oronoco. The vehicle then collided with a garage door at the fire station after it failed to navigate a turn.

Parkin said deputies reported the odor of an alcoholic beverage once they arrived at the crash scene and were told that Schneider had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana while she was on the water Sunday. Schneider was reported to have been disoriented at the scene and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital to be evaluated.

Parkin said her condition improved during the ambulance ride and that she was discharged from the hospital. Schneider was then taken to the Olmsted County Jail where she took a preliminary blood test that yielded a 0.10 blood-alcohol concentration result.

She was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree DWI. Parkin said she could face property damage charges as well. He said the garage door suffered minor damage and the vehicle appeared to have not been damaged by the crash.
