49-year-old Izaak Parker is facing felony charges in all four cases. The drug charges were filed against Parker last July as part of an investigation involving a trailer reported stolen from an Eyota business.

The plea agreement calls for Parker to plead guilty to felony third-degree drug possession and a felony firearm violation. In exchange the prosecution will drop a first-degree drug possession charge and the charges filed against him in the three theft cases.

In one of the theft cases, Parker was accused of stealing a trailer belonging to Papa J’s Kettle Corn last summer. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said a citizen reported seeing the stolen trailer in the driveway of Parker’s Marion Township home.

Deputies obtained a search warrant related to the trailer theft for the residence and spotted various drugs paraphernalia and a firearm during the search. Authorities obtained an amended warrant to include the suspected drugs and firearm and uncovered four packs that combined amounted to over 20 grams of meth and drug sale materials, court documents say.

The plea agreement states the prosecution plans to ask for a five year prison term. Parker plans to argue for a downward departure from state sentencing guidelines.

His sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
