10-Year-old Boy Falls to His Death from Tree in Northern Minnesota

Walker, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in Cass County are investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy who fell out of a tree last week.
A statement released by the sheriff’s office Tuesday said the deadly incident occurred at a residence on Leech Lake east of Walker shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday. Deputies responded to a medical call at the home and learned the boy was hurt after falling from the tree when they arrived.
First responders began rendering aid and the boy was airlifted to a hospital where he died from his injuries. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota BCA and Ramsey County Medical Examiner are continuing to investigate the deadly incident.
