MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Police say a 17-year-old boy has died in a shooting in north Minneapolis.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired about 8 p.m. Sunday and found the victim without a pulse. First responders were able to revive the teen, but he died after being taken to North Memorial Hospital.

Police spokesman John Elder says there was a group of people driving around when the vehicle was hit by gunfire and the victim was struck. Elder says the others in the car dumped the victim from the vehicle and drove away.

Investigators are still working to determine where the shooting actually happened.
