Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage man has become the latest victim of fatal gun violence in Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department says officers responded to the gunfire shortly after 3:00 Sunday morning.
Responding officers encountered the gunshot victim at the scene and began administering life-saving care.

19-Year-Old Man Killed in North Minneapolis Shooting
The shooting occurred in the area of Mississippi Dr. North and Lyndale Ave. North.
Police say the victim was suffering from an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound. He died from his wound at the scene.
Authorities are describing the gunshot victim as a 19-year-old man. His name and more information regarding his death will be released upon completion of a preliminary autopsy by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police say the gunman fled the scene before officers arrived. As of Sunday morning no arrest has been announced.
