2 MN Motorcyclists Hurt in Separate Crashes-1 Critically Injured
Vadnais Heights, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is indicating excessive speed may have contributed to a motorcycle crash yesterday that left a man in critical condition.
A preliminary report on the incident indicates the motorcyclist was traveling north on I-35E at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed on the left shoulder of the freeway. The crash was reported around 4:45 PM in Vadnais Heights.
The motorcyclist, identified as 34-year-old Jesse Goben of Woodbury was transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul to be treated for what were described as life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol report indicates alcohol was not a contributing factor.

Another motorcyclist was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester following a motorcycle crash yesterday near Zumbro Falls.
The State Patrol says 64-year-old Debra Norring of Lake Elmo was traveling north on Highway 63 when her motorcycle collided with a second motorcycle driven by 68-year-old Richard Norring, also of Lake Elmo.
Even though she was not wearing a helmet, Debra Norring suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, while Richard Norring was not hurt. The crash was reported just before to 2:20 PM near the intersection of Highway 63 and Wabasha County Road 3 about a mile south of Oak Center.
The State Patrol's preliminary report states that alcohol was not involved. The Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, Lake City Ambulance, and the Zumbro Falls Fire Department also responded to the crash.
