Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News) - Police in Mankato are reporting that they have identified two suspects for a bomb threat involving Minnesota State University-Mankato earlier today.

A statement issued by the president of MSU-Mankato indicates the two individuals are cooperating with investigators. It was previously reported that an emergency alert was issued to the school's staff and students early Friday indicating there had been a bomb threat involving Armstrong Hall and the Otto Recreation Center.

Both facilities were searched and "no imminent threat was found." Still, school officials kept the buildings closed for a time out of what they termed "an abundance of caution." Classes and other events on the campus resumed as scheduled following that announcement and the two affected facilities reopened in the late afternoon.

Officials have not said whether the two individuals identified as suspects will face criminal charges.
