
Fire Causes Significant Damage to Rochester Home
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A fire significantly damaged a Rochester home over the weekend.

A news release issued by the Rochester Fire Department says crews were paged to the call around 4:20 Sunday afternoon.
Preliminary reports indicated everyone had gotten out. Responding firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire coming from the back side of the house.

Fire Causes Significant Damage to Northwest Rochester Home
The fire broke out in the 5100 block of 20th Ave. LN. NW. First-arriving crews began fighting the fire, while additional crews responded to search the home.
Firefighters ensured no people were inside.
Crews rescued the owner's pet which was still in the home at the time of the fire. The pet was reunited with the owners, officials say.
Firefighters got the blaze under control and remained at the scene to ventilate the structure for smoke and heat and to conduct overhaul operations.
No civilian or first responder injuries were reported. The home suffered significant fire and smoke damage throughout its second floor, the news release says.
The cause of the fire is not available.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Rochester Police Department also responded to the house fire.
