Rochester, MN Man Killed in Crash at Dakota County Intersection
Hastings, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash in Dakota County that happened earlier this month.
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Friday, July 7 at an intersection in Vermillion Township, which is about 10 miles southwest of Hastings. The fatal crash was reported around 6:45 a.m.
Authorities say a vehicle traveling north on Goodwin Ave. collided with a vehicle heading south on Northfield Blvd. One of the drivers died at the scene and his body was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The medical examiner issued the autopsy results Tuesday afternoon that identified the driver killed in the crash as 24-year-old Aaron Juwan Woods of Rochester. The medical examiner’s report indicates Woods died at the scene.
His cause of death was described as blunt force injuries and his manner of death is described as an accident.
