Undated (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has responded to at least 3 fatal traffic crashes since Friday morning.

The most recent report came in shortly after 2:30 this morning in Anoka County where a 27-year-old Minneapolis man was killed when his SUV crashed into the back of an unoccupied semi-truck that was parked along the shoulder of University Avenue in Fridley. His name has not been released.

The first fatal crash on Friday was reported around 5 AM about 20 miles west of Duluth. The State Patrol says 49-year-old Dallas McCloud of Baudette was driving a semi-truck that left Highway 210 and rolled into the ditch just east of the town of Cromwell.

Another traffic fatality was reported in the late morning on Friday on the far northwestern edge of the Twin Cities. The victim, 70-year-old Dennis Kerssen of Elk River, was driving a pickup on Highway 101 just north of Rogers when the vehicle left the road and smashed into the wall on a highway overpass at the interchange with Wright County Road 36. The State Patrol says the deadly incident occurred around 11:30 AM.
