
Driver of 4-Wheeler Airlifted After Crashing in Winona County
Altura, MN (KROC-AM News)- The rider of a 4-wheeler was airlifted to a hospital after a crash in southeast Minnesota.

That’s according to Altura Ambulance which was among multiple emergency agencies that responded to the crash, which occurred shortly after 5:30 Wednesday afternoon.
A post on the volunteer ambulance service’s Facebook page described the situation as “a high-stress scene.”

4-Wheeler Operator Airlifted After Crashing Near Altura in Winona County
The Facebook post says the 4-wheeler operator crashed in a field in the rural Winona County community.
The patient was on a dead-end road on the opposite side of the field.
First responders put the injured rider in a rescue basket and transported the person to a landing zone that had been set up for Mayo One Helicopter.
Paramedics treated the operator until they were ready to be airlifted from the area.
“An AMAZING JOB was done by both Ambulance and Fire crews on scene. It was a high-stress scene and both crews made correct, calculated moves to ensure the safety of both the patient and the crew on scene,” the Facebook post says.
The 4-wheeler rider’s name has not been released. An update on their condition is not available.
