
Bridge North of Rochester Hit by Dump Truck on Hwy. 52 Remains Closed Monday

Traffic was diverted for about three hours until the roadway reopened around 8:30 Friday night.
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News)- A road that passes over Hwy. 52 north of Rochester remains closed Monday.

Its overpass was struck by a southbound dump truck on Friday afternoon.
The crash, which occurred after 4 p.m., reduced traffic to a single lane and caused lengthy delays.
Officials closed the freeway’s southbound lanes around 5:30 p.m. Traffic was diverted for about three hours until the roadway reopened around 8:30 Friday night.
No injuries were reported.

85th St. NW at Hwy. 52 Overpass Closed for Inspection Near Oronoco
The dump truck collided with the 85th St. NW overpass. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) indicates 85th st. NW in northern Olmsted County is closed.
Director of Communications and Public Engagement for MnDOT District 6 Mike Dougherty says the bridge remains closed as a precautionary measure.
He says bridge inspection crews will visit the site on Monday to assess damage caused by the collision. Officials will then determine a fix and if any short-term repairs are needed.
