9 Ghost Kitchens in Rochester, MN You Didn’t Know About
Did you know that we actually have a few ghost kitchens operating in Rochester, MN? I knew of a couple of them, but as I dug around on DoorDash more, I found more!
It all started when I was craving a breakfast burrito a few days ago. I hopped on DoorDash to find a spot to possibly order from and found this place I hadn't heard of before.
After a quick Google search, I realized that the place was actually a ghost kitchen.

What is a Ghost Kitchen?
If you aren't familiar with ghost kitchens, CloudKitchens has a great definition for it:
A ghost kitchen is a food service operation that prepares meals solely for delivery, without a traditional dine-in space.
So the ghost kitchen company 'rents out' space in another business's kitchen to prepare food that's ordered through online places like DoorDash.
I don't know for certain if their ghost kitchen company actually pays rent, but I would imagine the company that's allowing them to use their space gets some sort of cut.

Sometimes these ghost kitchens are totally different companies from the kitchen that they rent out. Other times, the ghost kitchen sells the same food as what's sold at the brick-and-mortar location they're operating out of.
Let's take a peek at these ghost kitchens that are around Rochester and see what's really going on behind the curtain.
Below, I'll show you which ghost kitchens I discovered on my hunt through DoorDash (so there could be others I'm not aware of) and which kitchen they're operating out of.
