A Historic Rochester Weather Record Was Set Wednesday
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The official low temperature at the Rochester airport Wednesday morning was not only a new record - it was one of the coldest readings for the month of April.
It was also the coldest it’s ever been this late in spring.
The temperature dipped to 8 degrees around 7:00 AM. The previous record low for April 15th was 18, set in 1962.
The coldest it’s ever been in the city during April is 5 degrees, set on April 6, 1982.
Rochester also set a record Tuesday with a low of 18 and may set another one Thursday.
