It's been ten years since the "Litter Bit Better" campaign started in Rochester and we're still piling up the garbage.

According to a release sent out by Rochester Public Works Department, over 122 tons of litter has been collected by volunteers.  More will be added next month when the 11th annual event takes place.

If you'd like to join the many other volunteers, you can do so now.  Pick a location, pick a date and go pick it up!

The event takes place April 22 - 29.   Registration information, maps and more can be found at www.RNeighbors.org/litterbitbetter. You can encourage others to participate by sharing photos of your group in action on Facebook using the tag #litterbitbetter.

Do it with your kids, your neighborhood, friends, co-workers.  Everyone's needed.
