Even animals get in on the #MinnesotaNice theme we are so fond of. A mother duck in Northern Minnesota was recently photographed with, get this...76 ducklings in tow! The photo is now going viral online.

Thirty-two-year-old photographer, Brent Cizek, captured the picture of the mother duck followed by upwards of 50 fuzzy ducklings, on Lake Bemidji, and posted the surprising image to his Instagram and TwitterThe Audubon Society soon took notice, and more people in and around Bemidji began to see the massive quacking brood out and about. Cizek told the Audubon that he’s seen a Common Goldeneye mother duck with around 20 babies following behind in the past, but nothing on this level before. The mother duck in this picture probably picked up several dozen ducklings that got separated from their mothers. According to The Audubon Society adult ducks can’t tell which birds are theirs and lost young birds that have already imprinted on their own mothers will instinctively start following another Common Merganser because she looks like mom. Either way, we're saying it's just another example of #MinnesotaNice!

It looks like this Common Merganser adopted a few young ones.
