Calling all cat lovers! Lets find this adorable dude a fur-ever home.

Back in February of 2023, an orange tabby and white cat was found all alone wondering the streets. He was scared and a bit on the hissy side when they brought him to the shelter in Rochester. Fast forward over a year, and this handsome fella has come a long way and is still patiently waiting for a family.

Meet Jersey Joe. Tell me this doesn't look like a dating site picture lol.

He is around 3 years old and has a whole lot of energy, loves to chase the laser light, and play with wand toys. He also enjoys bird watching.

According to the Paws and Claws website, he likes people, but prefers to be left alone. Perhaps he should be named Garfield. ;) He's not a fan of being pet or picked up and can at times get overstimulated and nip. Because of that, PCHS recommends he goes to a home with experienced cat owners and older children (12+ years old).

Sure, he's safe and sound at a shelter and not out on the streets, BUT it's time for him to have a home of his own and a family that loves him. Could that be YOU?

Rochester Minnesota's Rules and Regs for Cats, Dogs, and Ferrets

Do you own a dog, cat, or ferret in the Rochester City Limits? Then this is for you.

Some of the regulations may surprise, you, like how long you have to pick up an animal from the shelter before it's either adopted or put down. Or what constitutes a 'barking" dog. It's not just barking.
