Albert Lea Teacher Arrested For Cocaine Possession
Albert Lea, MN (KROC AM News) - An Albert Lea Special Education Teacher was arrested earlier this month for cocaine possession and was placed on paid leave.
33-year-old Erin Bennett and Leonte Town were stopped by police and eventually both were arrested on September 17th for cocaine in Albert Lea. Bennett was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. According to the Albert Lea Tribune, Albert Lea Executive Director of Administrative Services Jim Quiram said he is not sure when the investigation will be finished.
Other reports say that Bennett has already been charged with petty misdemeanors possessing/selling a small amount of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia. The arraignment hearing for those charges is set for October 3rd.
