
Alcohol Apparently Involved in Fatal Crash in Northern Minnesota

Walker, MN (KROC AM News) - Alcohol was reportedly involved in a deadly traffic wreck Monday in northern Minnesota.
The State Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck was passing a vehicle at a high rate of speed when it crashed head-on into an oncoming car.
The driver of that vehicle was killed. She was identified as 53-year-old Virginia Stewart of Longville.
A passenger in the pickup was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. She suffered life-threatening injuries. The woman was identified as 39-year-old Lavae Oothoudt of Sauk Rapids.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the State Patrol report indicates alcohol was involved. He was identified as 39-year-old Corey Wuori of Walker.
The wreck happened around 2 pm near Walker.
