According to thedailymeal.com, "He brought them to public awareness after discovering them while working abroad as American Minister to France." I'm pretty sure that's the main reason why he's featured on Mount Rushmore.

Out of all of the places in the top 5, Five Guys is the one that gives you the most. They'll fill your bag with delicious fries that are cooked in peanut oil.
Yes, they have the meats, but they also have delicious seasoned curly fries. Dunking them into cheese sauce is the way to go.
McDonald's fries are the best in the country according to this survey and it's not even close. The chain sells close to 10-million pounds of them every single day! The next time you order some fries at Mickey D's ask for a side of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in - it's so good!
