Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A woman with a lengthy criminal history, mainly stemming from package thefts in the Rochester area, has allegedly struck again.

She’s facing multiple new felony charges, according to a criminal complaint filed earlier this week in Olmsted County Court. 

Court records indicate she has a criminal history that dates back to 2011 and includes convictions in 10 theft cases. 

Woman With Multiple Felony Theft Convictions Accused of Stealing Mail and Packages from Rochester Homes

49-year-old Angela Mae Clemens is charged with seven counts of felony mail theft

The criminal complaint says an Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office deputy on patrol spotted Clemens in a vehicle stopped next to a mailbox in Oronoco Township on the morning of March 4.

Knowing Clemens has prior mail theft convictions and that she did not live in the area, the deputy made contact with Clemens and eventually searched her vehicle, the complaint says. 

The deputy found an envelope addressed to a rebate office in Wisconsin, a $10 check and numerous parcells containing eye drops, loafers and other items in the vehicle, the charges say.

In all Celemens was caught in possession of mail belonging to seven different households. All of the victims are Rochester residents, the complaint says. 

Law enforcement was able to return most of the items to the victims. Some other property Clemens identified as stolen was logged into evidence, according to the court document.

Court records show Clemens was convicted of mail theft in Olmsted County as recently as 2022. 

She was given a 19 month stayed prison sentence and five years probation for mail thefts in Rochester and rural Olmsted County. 

She was also convicted of mail theft in Olmsted County in 2020 and 2018, according to court records. Clemens is due to make her first appearance in her latest mail theft case later this year.
