A wind chill advisory will be in effect for the entire state through mid-morning on Wednesday as Minnesota and surrounding states remain in the deep freeze.

The National Weather Service is predicting the temperature will fall to near 10 below zero Wednesday morning, while the wind chill readings will be in the -25 to -35 range.

The unofficial low temperature in Rochester Tuesday morning was 11-degrees below zero. That’s 20-degrees below normal and the coldest it has been in Rochester since March 3rd, but it’s a far warmer than the record for the date of -28° that was set in 1887.
