St Paul (KROC AM News) - Except for curfew violations Monday night, it was relatively calm across the Twin Cities in the wake of the widespread rioting, looting and property damage that developed last week after the death of George Floyd.

Police in St. Paul reported 65 curfew arrests at the state Capitol. According to the department’s Twitter account, a suspicious van was also located by officers.

Earlier Monday, the St Paul Police Dept posted a photo on its Facebook page showing several of its officers kneeling during a protest “in a show of respect for the very real pain our community feels. We feel it too.”

Also Monday, Gov. Walz announced an easing of the curfew order he issued last week and said the National Guard presence was shrinking.
