Another Guilty Plea for Rochester Home Invasion
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to two years probation for his involvement in a violent home invasion earlier this year.
22-year-old Jamial Brown was accused of being with a group of four young men who barged into an apartment near the RCTC campus in late March. During the incident, some of the intruders pulled out guns and ordered the occupants to get on the floor. Police say they were apparently looking for someone involved in an earlier confrontation.
Brown was originally charged with felony burglary, but today entered into a plea agreement and admitted to a gross misdemeanor riot charge.
Another defendant in the case, 19-year-old Elliott Norwood, admitted to a felony riot charge and is scheduled to be sentenced in November. Two other men charged in the case are scheduled to stand trial next month, while another is slated to face a jury in November.
