Team U.S.A.? More like Team Minnesota!

21 Minnesotans competed in PyeongChang last month for the 2018 Winter Olympics, with several of them taking home gold! Four of the five members of John Shuster's "MiraCurl on Ice" were Minnesotans, nine of 'us' were on the men’s or women’s hockey teams and who can forget Jessie Diggins making U.S. history by giving the U.S. their first Olympic gold medal in women's cross country skiing in 42 years!

That's a lot of bling to bring back to the states! But now another Minnesotan has claimed gold in South Korea - and he's from St. Cloud!

Congrats to "Monster" Mike Schultz who just won in Monday's men's snowboard cross event of the Paralympic Games! According to the St. Cloud Times, he was a professional snocross racer before a horrific accident in a 2008 race cost him his left leg.

Turns out Schultz also had the honor to be a flag bearer for Team USA during the opening ceremonies of the Paralympic Games:

Let's hope this isn't the last medal we bring home either! USA, USA, USA!!
